Step 1: The Power of Momentum Momentum is what keeps the earth spinning, it keeps us moving forward and stops us going backwards. In previous blogs I have spoken about the phenomenon of Compound Interest; similarly, there is the power of momentum. In this life we all want things instantaneously, whether it be our 15 minutes of fame, our band to be an overnight success, huge business and financially success as soon as we open our doors to trading, a lottery win etc. But what happens to the majority of those instant successes? Well they burn out. They have their 15 minutes of fame but it only last 15 minutes not a life time, the band become a one-hit-wonder, the business crashesbecause it has not got the skills, finances or capacity to cope with demand, the lottery winners loose the money because they think it will last forever and don’t invest the money wisely. For success to be long lasting it must build momentum. You maybe struggling with your business and be contemplating giving up and becoming like the other 95% of people in this world. But think of your business as a snowball. It starts of very small and as you push forward your little tiny snowball becomes slightly bigger (you’re starting to market your work form home Internet business), you keep pushing the snowball (tyring out new marketing avenues),and the more you push forward the bigger and bigger it (your business) becomes, until eventually you have collected all the snow (the leads/conquering Google etc.) off the ground and have a enormous snowball to show for it. That’s how the 5% of people who are successful entrepreneurs get to where they want to be in life. It’s because they understand and apply the power of momentum. They know that in order for theirbusiness to be big, they must start small and over time build and build, until they eventually have the best Internet business, the leading product in the market, the most lucrative brand etc.

Apply The Slight Edge & Build The Best Internet Business

admin In my last blog post I touch, briefly, on the 4 Holistic elements that will assist you in having the best Internet business. In this post I will be going to more detail about how the physical element has a huge impact on our lives. Now you might have read the first lines of this blog and thought,”I know how the physical has an impact on me”, but I will not only be looking from the angle of you body but also materialistically and money wise. OK, so most of us have body-hang ups and it we d not then we are very luck and in the minority. But this is not about slim, tones versus a few extra pounds. This is about being comfortable with ourselves. If we are comfortable in our own skin, we have a positive outlook about how others perceive us; it gives us confidence and raises our self esteem. So what impact does this have on our home based Internet marketing business, where people cannot see you or get to meet you? Well, the answer is it has a lot to do with it. How we carry our-self does not just giving us physical presence but also it projects in our voice; confidence projects in our voice, and people equate confidence to success. consequently, when you are speaking on the phone to new leads or team members they will view you a a successful person and want to be in on that success. Money is a physical entity. Although, success and power have more to do with a rich quality of life there is no doubt that money has a huge impact in our life’s. And while it cannot make us happy it can certainly make us comfortable.
The majority, if not all people, look for a new Internet business because they want to earn extra money, they see the residual income and lucrative compensation plan and want in. I was not different, in the initial stages I joined my Internet based business opportunity because I needed to get out of debt and make money on the Internet. I’m not saying that it is about being the riches person in the world, it is not! At present I am reading a book on having a ‘Holistic Approach to Life’. I is really a set of book all combined into one. One of the passage I read from Susie Johns, about money, read; It’s not about greed or being the riches person in the world. It is about not having to struggle to make ends meet; to have the freedom to take opportunities when they arise and even create opportunities for yourself and those you love. This sums up my point exactly, money is not the be-all-and-end-all but it does open doors and gets us out of difficult situations. Money gives us freedom and keep the wolf from our doors, and this is exactly the reason why I chose to work from home online. Not only can I afford to do the things I want but I also have the time and energy to go to the gym and hiking to help my have the healthy body to enjoy my life and my success.

admin How to win people to your way of thinking Dale Carnegie: How To Win Friends And Influence People; Review Part 4 Ok, so we’ve looked at how to handle people, how to make people like you. Part 4 of this review is focusing on how to win people to your way of thinking. Once you have won them to your ways of thinking they will be open to you internet based business oportunity and your leadership methodology. Dale Carnegie stated 12 fundamental principles to entice people to your way of thinking. They are as follows: The only way to get the best out of an argument is to avoid it, Show respect for others opinions and never say your wrong, If you’re wrong admit it quickly and emphathetically, Begin in a friendly way, Get the other person saying yes immediately, Let the other person do the talking, How many time do we talk outself around to something? Let the other person feel the idea is theirs, See things from the others point of view, Be sympathetic to others, Appeal to their nobler motives, Dramatise your ideas, Throw down a challenge. In my vidoe and article series I discuss each principle and technique in detail, devoting one article and principle to each principle. I also offer advice of you can apply these principles to help you build the best internet business and conver leads into members. However, the principle that has the most impact on myself and my attitude towards my business was to see things from the other persons point of view. I covered this in a post from two weeks ago, where I tell a story about my mentor. If we see things form other’s viewpoint, we begin to understand why they do the things they do, why they think the way they do. Once you have mastered this you know how to get the best out of people and motivate them to perform to a higher standard, and above all get them to come around to your way of thinking. Imagine the impact using this simple but highly effective technique can have on your intrenet based business opportunity; imaging the results you will have from your team members if you saw things from their point of view and had the power to change them to your way of thinking. Crack this and you will take your internet home business for mid-range to the best internet business; and who does not want that?
5 Steps to Having The Best Internet Business: Step 3
October 11th, 2010
admin Step 3: The Power of Habit Nothing is stronger than a habit- Ovid On average it takes us three weeks to form a habit, but it can take a lifetime for us to break them. All habits are formed from daily actions, so of them we are not even aware of. To be successful we need to identify those that serve us and our Internet based business opportunity and those that do not. It all boils down to the Slight Edge philosophy, of simple little habits, compounded over time will work either for or against you. It will either put you on the success curve or the failure curve. You will either have the best Internet business or you will be so bogged down by negative habits that you are kept from moving forward. Remember this: Your philosophy creates your attitudes, your actions, your results, which in turn created your life! Sit down and think of all those that serve you and those that don’t. For all the ones that do not serve you design a one that does. But this will take time, so be prepared to invest time and effort into you becoming a success. The Law of Attraction applied to habits too. The more we think about breaking a habit, the more we do that habit. Say for example you drink too much coffee and you have made the decision to reduce your caffeine in-take; the more you think about not having that cup of coffee, the more you want one. You will then give in and have one! But say if you decided you were going to drink herbal tea instead, the more you though about having that herbal tea the more you would want one.
This is no different in you business life. The more you make a habit of marketing your business, or phoning one more lead per day, of writing one more article, of listening to one more training webinar, doing one more marketing video etc. All these small tiny steps will soon become habit, then you can make way to develop new positive habits. And very soon you will find that you are on the curve of success, rather than the downwards slope of failure.
Creating The Best Internet Business
October 6th, 2010
admin There are many different ways to make money on the Internet but this article today will focus on one particular idea, creating the best online business. There are as many ways to make money on the Internet as possible but there aren’t a great deal of tried and true methods that can work for different people. The method that we will focus on today is creating a website in a small but profitable niche. What all businesses come down to is finding and maintaining a strong and solid customer base that can constantly make them money. This is true no matter what type of business this is, Internet or retail. The only way that a company makes money is by attracting a solid base of hungry customers, understanding their problems and offering a solution.
If you are able to build a solid base of highly responsive customers, you will have the opportunity to print your own money. Once you have identified a hungry market of customers, who are ready and willing to buy your products or services, you can create products for them, either by generating your own content, if you enjoy writing, or by marketing affiliate products or using PLR (Private Label Rights), where you brand e-products as your own. The first key in creating the best online business is to help you identify a niche that you can work in. this can be a bit tricky but you must look for few key characteristics. First, you will want the subject to be something that you are interested in yourself so that your sales copy is personal and compelling. To truly create a website that people will want to keep visiting, you will have to have a great deal of information and different ways to keep them interested. You will probably need to be researching these topics quite a bit so a strong interest within the field will help you.
Secondly, visit findhotniches.com. This website can help you generate ideas on what different areas are underserved. The author of this website, James Jackson, gives you niches plus keywords so that you know what to build your website around. That was great information but here is the rest quickly. You want your website to be built around those keywords so that Internet searches bring up your website among the first page of search results. By doing this, you can start gaining traffic to your website. By constantly writing articles, you can develop a repeat client base which you can begin selling to. Once you are done developing the website, you need some sort of product to sell. This is not necessarily something that you have to come up with. If you go to Clickbank.com, you will find many different products that you can probably sell within your particular niche. You will get a share of the profits and the system is automated so that you just have to guide your clients over to that particular website and everything else is taken care of for you. If you decide and look into developing a newsletter then you can promote a product at the end of the newsletter, which could bring you in a great deal of money. This is where you can make some good money. Hopefully this article on creating the best online business will help you out. If you want to succeed, try this idea but keep testing as it takes great time and effort to become a strong and profitable website.
The Best is the Enemy of the Good

admin The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship, at Florida State University, where I work, was recently consulting with an IT manager who spent two days drafting one letter trying to make it perfect. This same manager meticulously examines each and every piece of information that goes out to his staff and frequently reviews letters and e-mails six times before sending. Obviously, this manager feels that perfection or being the best is a worthy goal. Just being good is unsatisfactory.
Time is an IT professional’s most critical asset, and you must continually evaluate if you are using it wisely. In order to do so, it is useful to put a cost on your time. Let’s say you estimate your time is worth $100 or $200 an hour. Using this figure, you can quickly see if your time is being spent on the tasks that are most beneficial to your department.
Returning to the example of the IT manager who spent two days reviewing a letter, if we assume his time is worth $150 an hour, we see that he wrote a $2,400 letter. I doubt he would agree that the letter was worth that sum, but since he was not aware of his true cost, he let being the best get in the way of being very good.
Looking back on all of the managers and entrepreneurs we have assisted, I have noticed that the most successful ones seem to have one thing in common. They never complain about a lack of time. This is particularly true among successful IT managers.
Time is worth money
The secret that these managers and entrepreneurs share is that they realize their time is worth a lot of money. They constantly — perhaps unconsciously — make decisions about the best use of their time. They focus not on perfection or being the best, but rather on doing what is needed to get the job done.
In website design, we can work endlessly at building the perfect site. The cost and the time that would be required to do so, however, are frequently prohibitive. Technology can significantly improve productivity in terms of both outcomes and processes, but as with any tool, you cannot let the pursuit of perfection get in the way of being good.
Recently, I was working with some IT professionals who were developing new software. They were unwilling to release this software until it was perfect or met their standards. Because of this, the firm they were working for was incurring large losses.
Voltaire once said, “The best is the enemy of the good.” I interpret this statement to mean that perfection is an unreasonable goal and pursuing it ultimately detracts from the viability of a department or an individual. If perfection is an unachievable goal, why reach for something you know is unattainable?
Clearly, we all want to be as good as we possibly can, and that is a commendable goal. I can still remember my mother telling me to be the best that I can be. However, I now realize that piece of advice has not always served me very well.
What I should have been taught is that tradeoffs must be made and that being very good is wonderful. By pricing your time in a realistic setting, you can make decisions that prevent “the best” from being the enemy of “the good.”
If you want to be productive and make the most of your time, take care that you are not trying to achieve goals that are unattainable or inefficient in terms of cost.

Build The Best Internet Business Holistically!
September 14th, 2010
admin My last posts discuss how a person is made of 4 holistic elements, and how the physical element and emotional element of our being has an effect on our Internet based business opportunity. In today’s blog post I want to talk about how we need to be mentally aware to have a fulfilling life, achieved by having a successful home business. The mental element is the fundamental element that controls all the others; it is the central communicate to the other three, because what we think affects our body, our emotions and our spiritual beliefs. Negative thoughts will have a detrimental impact on our work at home business, in fact if these emotions have such a negative pull you might never start your own business. I’m reading a book called ‘An Holistic Life’, Susie Johns writes about the impact negative though patters can have on our life. She writes; a malfunctioning mind is our saboteur, telling us we cannot do something, we can’t have it, we can’t believe it, we’re not good, clever, attractive or healthy enough- in fact, we are never enough’. Now imagine if we put these thoughts into our Internet home business: I’ll never be able to make money because I’ll never be able to generate leads; I cannot have the life that others have because I’ll never earn enough money to fund that lifestyle; I’m not clever enough to market my business, I would not know how to; people won’t join my business, they will see my photograph on my blog or my videos and think I’m unattractive: so what’s the point?
The point is that it is only these negative thoughts that are stopping you from having the best Internet business, from working from home, for yourself; from having the dream lifestyle you have wanted for so long; from having the money to put your children into the school you want; from having those exotic vacations. Rigid thinking encourages a rigid body- aches and pains, reduced mobility; rigid thinking encourages rigid attitudes- people won’t join my Internet based business opportunity; rigid thinking stunts our spiritual growth and reduces our ability to enjoy and experience the riches of life.
5 Steps to The Best Internet Business: Part 5

admin The Power of Celebration With all the Christmas and New Years celebrations how many of us will take the time to celebrate who we are and what we have achieved? In my final blog on the 5 Steps to having the Best Internet Business, I am going to look at harnessing the power of celebration. In my last blog I wrote about the power of refection, discussing how reflection helps you identify areas of weaknesses and helping you building upon them so that they eventually turn into strengths. But reflection is not only about identifying negatives, it’s also about identifying positives. Once you have identified your strengths, celebrate them and build upon them. It’s easy to focus on the negatives or all the areas in your life and business that have not been successful, but how many of us celebrate all the success we have achieved? Celebrate the next time you complete all of your ‘to-do’ list, you generate a lead to your Internet based business opportunity, you try out a new marketing method etc. Every little positive step you make, celebrate it!
This will help you to stay focus, you will be encouraged to keep taking action and seeing your Internet based business opportunity flourish. Keep on track and stay motivated, this will help you achieve; success breeds success, so surround yourself with a network of like-minded people who will celebrate your success with you, who can advise you and help you to build upon your success, until eventually you have built the best Internet business, you have reach financial security and ultimately you are the person you want to be.
